According to News Web Easy, on the 5th there was the event held at the field in Akita Honjyo City, where about 250 people gathered to get white cabbages under the snow.

Although the white cabbages became big enough to get last autumn they were remained under the ground during the slowly winter time. A white cabbage becomes sweeter if they are kept under snow. When we eat them it makes a crunching sound and so delicious.

There were about 5000 white cabbages remained in the field. Families were getting the white cabbages from under snow by using the tools. The woman who came with her children said. 「It would be a great experience for the children and it was enjoyable just like we were looking for treasure. 」

The person who held the event said. 「We held the event hoping that people would enjoy it while they are experiencing agriculture. We want people to enjoy eating the sweet cabbages became under snow 」
