Hello everyone,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Mieko. I was born in Nagano, Japan. Currently living in South East London in the UK. I have been teaching Japanese to non-Japanese speakers since 2010 in the UK. I love my job.

Level: Beginner to Intermediate (JLPT, GESE, IB and general)
Students: Children/Adult

Since the outbreak of the pandemic I have been teaching via Whatsapp/Skype video call and I have also started blogging during this difficult time. I write about all things Japanese. If you are interested in our food, music, dramas, anime, culture and interesting places, this blog is for you. Hope it will encourage many people to either visit Japan or study.

I’d like to tell you a bit about me. Things I love to do are, eating, dancing and singing. Also taking photos, making flower arrangements and listening to music. My second favorite place to be is Hawaii. I visited two years ago. I dearly miss it.
