TOKYO OLYMPIC 2020 – NOT ACCEPT SPECTATORS FROM ABROAD DUE TO COVIT 19

According to NHK Net News Easy, on 20th, the Olympic organizing committee and the Japanese government, IOC, IPC had a meeting. And they have decided not let overseas spectators attend. Even now corona virus has still been spreading around the world. Therefore it would be difficult to say “Please come and watch freely from abroad”

According to the Olympic organizing committees, the tickets for the Tokyo Olympic sold are around 600,000, the tickets for the Paralympic sold are approximately 30,000. They will refund the money to those who have bought the tickets.

Mr Hashimoto, the president of the organizing committees、 has said “It is a real disappointing but this is to make athletes and Japanese people assured and to hold the Olympic safely.”

A decision regarding Japanese spectators will be made next month.

by NHK News Web Easy

I was predicting the Tokyo Olympic would be cancelled but I guess this is a fantastic news for athletes because they must have been training so hard for this historical competition.

I wish all the best to all athletes!!!
