Sunday J-POP (Japanese Pops) – Still by Arashi (嵐)

Still (Arashi)

The Sunday J-pop time again!

Today’s song is called [Still] by Arashi. Arashi is a Japanese boy band. This song is a coupling track and this special arrangement was made while they had concerts in Hawaii. Arashi is a super popular group but currently they are currently stopping their activists.

The Japanese lyrics and English translation

Still…

Song by Arashi

“Someday” I remembered the words you would forget

Calling the seasons on the road The wind stops

And return to me with your voice The usual life continues

From that day when everything was shining

It ’s all about disappearing when you close the door.

The ephemeral days I left because I couldn’t be honest

Maybe at that time we started walking on different paths

Until someday that feeling shines

The journey will start when the wheels start to turn

Gently embrace the past so that you won’t get lost anymore

I just told you the secret that I had hidden all the time

All of me at any time, maybe still

Noisy streets Passing by strangers

Everyone has someone so important and I’m burning my chest

Remember when I’m about to be crushed by the amount of things I’m holding

That hand that I’ve been holding for a long time isn’t a lie

I love the day when I can’t go back, but I’m waiting for us tomorrow

I can still go anywhere

“What did you say to me that day?”

It doesn’t matter what you say

I met a lot and gradually understood, the season was approaching and I cried a lot

You’re your dream, draw big, I wish you success from here

“If you just wait, there will be no tomorrow, so it will not start here.”

Even if it ’s a dark road that you ca n’t see ahead, even if it ’s a detour.

Let’s have a bit of a painful expression now

This is not a farewell, a new beginning with the encounters

But I still want to see you

I’ll laugh again someday and meet again

Maybe at that time we started walking on different paths

Until I understand the meaning of meeting two people someday

The journey will start when the wheels start to turn

Gently embrace the past so that you won’t get lost anymore

MY THOUGHT

I love the lyric below.

Maybe at that time we started walking on different paths

Until someday that feeling shines

Maybe at that time we started walking on different paths

Until I understand the meaning of meeting two people someday

I had same experience. My ex boyfriend and I started walking on different paths when we were young but after nearly 30 years we met again. Whenever I listen to this song I reflect with my experience.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you enjoy the song!!!!
