Another Sunday J-pop time! How have you been? It has been enjoyable week for me, driving down to the seaside as we had the last Indian Summer, watching friend’s performance etc.
Today’s Sunday J-pop is called 「Magic Ways」. When I went to the seaside in Kent and looking at the sea, It was a magic way to have made me feel happy. 「Magic Ways」 is one of trucks from the album called [Big Wav」. I am sure after listening to this song, you are CERTAINLY feeling happier. The sea I visited has not got as big wave as Hawaii or Japan but it still made me happy.

I was curious. Would you consider AKB48 type groups to be J-Pop or another genre?

I think their type is also J-Pop,. Arashi, a boy group, who I love is also J-Pop, Tatsuyo Yamashita wrote a song for them. But they are rather idol groups and too much commercialism. They don’t write songs. But their song is categorized as a J-Pop. Do you like AKB48? Idol songs used to be call “kayokyoku” in Showa era! Nowadays we call J-Pop.
