Sunday J-POP (Japanese Pop) – Ippon No Ongaku (一本の音楽・One Music) by Kazuhito Murata

Another Sunday J-pop time! How have you been? It has been so busy week for me that I could not post any blog until today.

My dear friend shared this song the other day. The song call 「Ippon no Ongaku」. This is one of the trucks of an album called 「Hito Kakera No Natsu」which was released in 1983. Kasuhito Murata wrote this song and produced by Tatsuro Yamashita. He was a sing song writer who was admired by one of well-known famous Japanese musician , Tatsuro Yamashita. His vocal skill was fantastic. An accuracy of hitting right notes was for every singer’s dream. He was someone who my friend also aiming to be. He sadly past away of cancer in 2016. He was still early 60’s. It was a great lost.

The video below was from an concert 2015. I have tried to upload the original recording video but it does not allow me to do that. So if you are keen to listen to his singing when he was younger check it out on Youtube.

Which songs would you take it with you on your trip?

Its lyrics and My English translation

One Music
Lyrics by Yoshihiko Ando
Composed by Kazuhito Murata

振りかえる 国境の街は – looking back the border town
いつか消えていく 遠い蜃気楼 – it will despair one day, far mirage
I’m just flying away…… if I feel the wind, I’m just flying away

Always put the song you love in my pocket
The one music is my passport for my trip
昨日までの わずらわしさ – the annoyance I had until yesterday,
Do tear up and throw it away

遠ざかる 街の香りは – the scent of the city goes away is
君と過ごした 夏の余韻さ the afterglow of the summer I spent with you
I’m just a rolling stone……chasing the dreams, I’m just a rolling stone

Always put the song you love in my pocket
一本の音楽が 僕に語りかける – the one music speaks to me kindly
時は風さ 立ち止まれば – the time is wind if I stop there
通り過ぎて しまう it would pass by

Even though there were the times that
こともある 僕らだけど we hurt each other

Always put the song you love in my pocket
The one music is my passport for my trip
昨日までの わずらわしさ – the annoyance I had until yesterday,
Do tear up and throw it away

Hope you like this song and thank you for dropping by!!!
