TODAY’S WORD – SPICY からい

In Japan, there are noodles (ramen) of various flavor. Miso, Shoyu, Tonkotsu etc… Which one is your favouriate?

The recent years the hot spicy noodles have became so poplular. The above picture is a hot spicy noodle, which I ate when I was in Japan. There are the levels of spicy that you can select, I tried the midium level, but was still pretty much hot to me.  辛い、辛い、 からかった。but it was delicious!

HOW TO USE SPICY (からい)IN A SENTENCE

からい karai is い-adjective, so we can use it like “It is karai”, or It was kara katta” for the past tense. Therefore, We can say in Japanese “Kore wa karai desu or kore wa kara katta desu”.
