Issues A Special Permission to Foreign Children Who Have No Permission to Stay in Japan

This June, a low for a refugee has been changed. In case of a foreigner who submitted their application as a refugee more than three times, there is a possibility that they would be sent back to their own county by Japan. However, there has been a opinion of which the children who were born and raised in Japan should not be send back with their parents.

The government has decided to give a special permission to parents and their children if the parents has no criminal records and meet the government’s requirement. That would apply to only children who are at primary schools up to high school and their parents.

It has been said that there are about 200 foreign children under 17 years old who have no permission to stay in Japan. Home Office thinks that they can give a permission to 70% of those children. It looks like the children who get a permission to stay will be able to move to another prefectures and will be work as a part time worker.
