JAPAN DAY – SUMMER FESTIVAL

1st July I held the Japan Day. It was my first event that I organized. We had a calligraphy, Origami, Bon odori, Tanzaku, Japanese Drum and Japanese songs. I served a Japanese chicken curry too.

There were many people turned and it was great success and fun.

I WORN yukata ゆかた for the first since 90’s. My friend was so generous to give me the yukata. It brought me wonderful memories of summers in Japan. I love Japanese summer festival!

Tanzaku

We wrote our wishes on a colorful piece of paper and tied it up around branches. On 7th of July is a Tanabata festival in Japan so we did it.

Japanese Embassy of London sent me some posters to display as well.
