According to News Web Easy, a book report /an essay of a book is the essay of someone’s thoughts after having read a book. The contest of an essay written by the children from primary schools up to high schools has been continuing over 50 years.

Recently, the number of children who use AI, which automatically answers to questions and make a sentence, has increased. The organization which hold the contest have decided to change the rule from April to avoid from writing an essay by misusing AI.

If someone admits that they use AI and copy a sentence exactly from what AI made, that essay will not be judged. However it will not an issue if they want to use AI to check what they wrote.

An expert said 「Just looking at sentences we will not recognize if they are written by AI. We should be extremely careful not to doubt children who wrote by themselves. 」
