I・CAN・BE (Kome Kome Club)

The Sunday J-pop time again!

Today’s song is called [I・CAN・BE] written and sung by Kome Kome Club. The single was released in 1985.

Kome Kome Club is a Japanese pop rock band formed in 80’s and achieved commercial success. Their sound was a mix of soul and funky. The band was formed with many members who played various musical instruments. . The vocalist, Mr Ishii had an amazing voice and his singing skill was fantastic.

Although they disbanded in 1997, reunited in 2006 and currently active. The below video was their stage performance during their commercial success.

行きつく果てなど – such the end
It’s like I already know the last scene

Run away – if you fed up, run away straight away
Even if run away it does not mean
Your memory – everything can be erased, Your memory

I・CAN・BE Lost my love away
I・CAN・BE Lost my love away

ハスにかまえて show window – pose in a snobbish way, show window
映る君の影に – for your shadow reflected on the window
Can not go back to the time when I was longing for

行くよ もうtime outだbaby – I go, it is already a time out, baby
刺のない バラなんて スリルがない – such the rose without thorns is no thrill

I・CAN・BE Lost my love away
I・CAN・BE Lost my love away
I・CAN・BE Lost my love away
I・CAN・BE Lost my love away

It is not because I don’t suit you
悲しい言葉で 責めないで - don’t blame on me with sad words
I just wanted you to be a sassy girl
これで さよなら – this is it, goodbye

I・CAN・BE Lost my love away
I・CAN・BE Lost my love away
I・CAN・BE Lost my love away
I・CAN・BE Lost my love away

Hope you find it interesting.
