A RULE OF A SCISSORS

HASAMI NO HOSOKU/はさみの法則

I have read a very interesting article so I though I should let you know.

You might wonder what is the rule of the scissors. Let me explain properly. First of all, I have to tell you that the Japanese call “scissors” “hasami・はさみ”. Now look at the below.

HAkkiri to iu (はっきりと) ー言う Tell something clearly

SAigo made iu (最後まで) - 言う Tell something to the end

MIjikaku iu (短く) - 言う Tell something in short

If you try to read the BOLD/ITALIC fist two capital letters vertically, then it will become [HA SA MI] which is [scissors] in Japanese. Did you solve your puzzle?

Now I can tell you a full story about this. The article I have read is supportive and helpful to foreigners. I will summarize accordingly..

According to NHK News Web Easy, when big disaster like an earthquake hits, necessary information or things can not be reached to the foreigners in Japan. As a result of this, the study for [the easy Japanese] ,which is easier for those who are not used to Japanese language to understand , has been in progress.

Ms Akiko Honda., a professor at the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Oita Prefecture said that telling something in Japanese [clearly], [to the end] and [in short] is very important.

For instance, a sentence like [please evacuate to a high ground in order to avoid from Tunami], make two short sentences like [Tunami is coming. Please escape to a high place]. Telling clearly that tunami is coming and telling what to do to the end.

The professor Ms Honda said [there are many foreigners who understand Japanese little. If they are in trouble please talk to them in easy Japanese, making them easy to understand.
